Pitch It! @ Message Sticks 2011

How do you sell your idea to a broadcaster and receive funding for development - all within 5 minutes?

AFTRS held a Pitch It! workshop leading up to the Message Sticks Film Festival 2011 with Glenys Rowe, who is a marketing strategist, specialising in film and audio productions. Glenys led filmmakers in the art of finding their voice and guide them through the pitching process.  On 15th May participants had the opportunity to pitch to a panel of broadcasters.

This was a unique opportunity to learn the art of pitching and receive feedback from industry professionals.  AFTRS, in conjunction with Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival, Sydney Opera House Trust and Blackfella films, are brought 10 Indigenous filmmakers together to attend the workshop and pitching session.

AFTRS will provided two awards to the amount of $4,000 in prize money to allow the film makers to develop their pitch into a treatment.
