SARAH STOLLMAN
Head of Screen Design, Acting Deputy Director Screen Production
Sarah Stollman has been production designing for over twenty years. Early in her career, she had the opportunity to work in New York and throughout the States with directors including Todd Haynes, Hal Hartley, David O. Russell Kelly Reichardt, and John Waters. She continued her career in Australia, working in film and television with directors such as Rachel Perkins, John Hughes, Jackie Chan, Lawrence Johnston, Khoa Do, Cherie Nowlan and Tony Tilse. Her work has brought her to many places in the US, Russia and of course all over Australia.
Sarah's approach to design is story and character driven which
is
exemplified in the manner in which she works with a director by
designing the overall vision of a project consistently and immersed
in detail.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and practised architecture while beginning her career in film. Her strong knowledge of design and architecture is evident in her work.
