The scheme provides practical 'on-the-job training' as well as time to undertake a theoretical component through TAFE.

Trainees also receive a salary throughout their traineeship.

There are currently five traineeships offered by the School each running between three to four years.

  • Television Operations (2 positions)
  • Engineering Maintenance (2 positions)
  • Lighting/Electrical (1 position – Gaffer)

The positions are all offered at the Sydney campus.

The general minimum requirement to be eligible is a Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
