Design courses at AFTRS prepare students to work as professional designers for the film, television and new media industries.
Communication and pre-visualisation skills, using tools such as Photoshop, Vectorworks and 3d modelling software are taught in conjunction with traditional drafting, rendering and model-making skills.
Students are given the opportunity to work as production and or costume designers on a variety of productions and media and also take part in industry secondments.
Design students receive intensive mentorship from industry experts and work closely with Cinematography, Television, Directing and Digital Media specialisations.
