The WOW film festival announced its winners last week and AFTRS people were very well represented in the honour roll. We have prepared quite a lengthy list featuring winning AFTRS shorts and graduates of the School who worked on winning projects……

  • SBS Award: AFTRS student film, The Bridge. Producer: Sheila Jayagev (Producing) Director: Martha Goddard (Directing)Editor: Gwendalina Sputore (Editing)
  • Best Australian Woman Cinematographer: Nicola Daley (Cinematography) for her work on Cockroach
  • Best Australian Screenwriter. Highly Commended: Hannah Hilliard (Directing) with Greg Logan for Franswa Sharl
  • Best Australian Editor. Joint Winners: Melanie Annan (Editing) for Cockroach and Rochelle Oshlack (Screenwriting) for Lani's Story.
  • Best Australian Composer: Amanda Brown (Screen Composition) for Dancing with the Prime Minister
