The awards and prizes rolled in for AFTRS graduates in recent weeks with the Screen Editors Guild and the Screen Sound awards acknowleding the best of the year and the winners are:

2011 Australian Screen Editors Awards

  • Best Editing in Television Non-Drama: On Trial, Episode 1. Denise Haslem ASE 
  • Best Editing in a Short Film: Something Fishy. Melanie Annan (Editing)

2011 Australian Screen Sound Awards

  • Best Achievement in Sound for a Tele-Feature or Short Run Series: My Place - Series Two. Mark Blackwell (Sound), Manel Lopez, Martin Cox (Sound), Peter Hall, Lyn Butler, Leon Horrocks, Ian Denato, Natelie Choo, Michol Marsh.
  • Best Achievement in Sound for Television Drama: Underbelly; Razor. Episode 6. Guntis Sics, Mark van Kool, Eren Sener (Sound) Tom Lowndes, James Bagley (Sound), Craig Butters, George Tenure, David Barber (Screen Music), Helen Brown, and Stephen R. Smith.
