Foundation Diploma graduates Erin Good & Taylor Litton-Strain have seen their short film Abbie  make the cut to screen at the 2012 Byron Bay Film Festival after already picking up awards at the following festivals: Best Short Film, Breath Of Fresh Air Film Festival, Tasmania, Best Actor, Milwaukee Short Film Festival, US, Honorary Mention (2nd Place) in the Best Film category, Milwaukee Short Film Festival, US.


Damian Del Borrello (Sound) dropped us a line about his nominations at the end of 2011 for two Australian Screen Sound Guild Awards. One for animation series Dukes of Broxstonia: Best Achievement in Sound for an Animation Short Film or Program and the other  for his work on AFTRS short Crystal Jam: Best Achievement in Sound for a Short Fiction Film.

Keir Wilkins  a current Graduate Diploma Screenwriting student won Best Short Film at the Offshoot Film Festival in Arkansas for his film Life in Red String and has also been nominated for Best Young Australian Filmmaker at the 2012 Byron Bay Film Festival.

Devin Doyle a current Graduate Diploma Screenwriting student, is through to the next round of the Red Planet Prize in the UK with his TV pilot Prosperity. Having read the first ten pages, Kudos Productions - makers of Life On Mars and Eastern Promises - would like to read the whole script due for submission next week for consideration to the next phase and a step closer to the prize of £5,000 plus a mentorship with Tony Jordan and a possible option on the script.
