AFTRS Radio alumni were well represented again this year at the ACRA awards - the Logies of the radio world - held in Brisbane last Saturday night, with 11 wins in 8 categories by graduates of the School. 

The 2013 honour roll is as follows:

  • Best Talk Presenter:  Stephen Cenatiempo
  • Best Music Presenter: Benny Hope, Ross Watson and Kent (Smallzy) Small
  • Best Music Special: Remembering Michael Hutchence: 15 years on; Michael Moffet
  • Best Music Director: Guy Mylecharane
  • Best Program Director: Andrew Very
  • Best Sales Promotion: Another Brick in the Great Wall; Benny Hope
  • Best Station Produced Commercial/Single: Wamberal Florist; Marc Dwyer
  • Best Station Promotion: Million Dollar Job Hunt; Ross Turner
  • Best Music Special: 1001 Greatest Hits of All Time CountdownTrent Towson, Chris Holland, Andrew Very & Al Dobie

Congratulations all round to the 2013 ACRA winners and if you would like to hear the next wave of future radio talent, the current crop of Graduate Diploma Radio students are live on air now with their final pop-up station for the year: NEXT FM.
