This week, Fairfax Media put together a comprehensive list of the most powerful and influential people in Australian television. After consulting a panel of experts - critics and industry insiders - the final list highlighted 75 key television players considered to be the top movers and shakers in the industry.

A quick scan of the list reveals quite a few names familiar to AFTRS who have been acknowledged for their standout and distinguished work in TV, so well done to the following AFTRS alumni for their contributions to quality TV in Australia:

- Anita Jacoby (Media): The Gruen Transfer, Gruen Sweat, Gruen Planet, Country Town Rescue, The Tunnel, Hungry Beast, etc

- Cate Shortland (Directing): The Slap, Devil's Playground, The Secret Life of Us, The Silence, etc

- Peter Andrikidis (Directing): Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Bikie Wars Brothers in Arms, Killing Time, East West 101, etc

- Rachel Perkins (Producing): Redfern Now, Mabo, First Australians
