BAFTA SUCCESS

At London’s Royal Opera House on February 14, Mad Max: Fury Road garnered four awards out of seven nominations including the win for Best Film Editing which went to AFTRS alumna Margaret Sixel (1989)

Nominated in the editing category alongside The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, The Martian and The Revenant Margaret said during her acceptance speech that it, “was an editor’s dream job.”

Fury Road was nominated for seven awards at the 2016 BAFTAS spanning the technical crafts of cinematography, visual effects and sound and won in addition to editing; costume design, production design and make up & hair.

Congratulations to Margaret and all of the Australian key creatives who were nominated for and won BAFTAS for their work on the critically acclaimed and box office smash.
