In this three-day course students learn the basics of creating a character from scratch for games or animation.

Together with your lecturer, you will discuss what makes an interesting and unusual character, and spend time planning and drawing a character of your choice. Then you can bring your character to life on screen by building it digitally for use in games or animations.

The course includes instruction on both the art of character design and an introduction to 3D digital animation using free, open-source software Blender.

“My daughter has been enjoying the class a lot and feels it has given her good skills in something she loves.”

“The computer labs were great and accessible.”
