This course is a great first step in understanding how to create graphic elements in Photoshop to use in your video production. It is designed for teens who have little or no experience using Photoshop and who want to improve and enhance their skills.


You will be taking you through a step-by-step introduction to the software using real examples. The topics covered include:

  • Introduction to Photoshop tools and menus

  • Setting up a Photoshop document

  • Using layers and alpha channel

  • Introduction to keying and masks in Photoshop

  • Basic design principles for lower thirds and supers for broadcast graphics

  • Saving typical file formats compatible for TV, Film and mobile devices.

Students who complete this course will then be able to broaden their skills base in the After Effects course.
