Simeon Bryan

Simeon Bryan is an accomplished cinematographer who has worked with great success across the full spectrum of film and broadcast industries. His training began in London in 1984 working as a runner and trainee loader for renowned new romantic TVC and music video director Howard Guard. Since then he has worked on over 500 cinema and television commercials, countless music videos, 18 feature drama and documentary films including Beneath Clouds (2002) and Superman Returns (2006) as well as television series, art installations and government and corporate communication.

He founded documentary production company Indigo Films in the year 2000 and produced and shot a slate of successful and award-winning films including Jimmy Little’s Gentle Journey (2003) ABC TV, Our Community (2005) Museum of Australia and Where the Streets have No Name (2010) Phoenix International /Lakeside / Toronto Commffest Film Festivals.

He became a go-to professional cinematographer and camera operator for non-fiction series including Open House (2016/17) and Kitchen Cabinet (2015) with Annabel Crabb, ABC, First Contact Series 2 (2016), Blackfella Films, SBS, Hatch, Match & Dispatch (2016) ABC, Blood & Thunder, The Sound of Alberts (2015), ABC and Norfolk Island: A Modern Mutiny (2016), SBS.

Simeon has also shot heaps of comedy, having worked on a number of landmark series including Chandon Pictures (2009) ABC, At Home with Julia (2011) ABC, A Moody Christmas (2012) and The Moodys (2014) ABC, two series of Soul Mates (2014/16) ABC and Wham Bam Thank You Ma’am (2016) ABC.
