YOUTUBE'S YOUR FILM FESTIVAL - AFTRS ALUMNI ON THE SHORT LIST

Your Film Festival is a YouTube international online festival with $500,000 on offer and AFTRS short Kiss written/directed by Alex Murawski (Graduate Diploma Directing, 2010) has made it to the semi-final stage with public viewing and voting closing soon.

 

Three other projects form AFTRS people are also included in the shortlist of 50 semi-finalists. Damien Power (MA Directing, 2000) has two shorts in contention, Bat Eyes and Boot, along with Good Pretender from Maziar Lahooti (Graduate Diploma Directing, 2009 and also a current MSA Student).

 

The projects were selected from thousands of entries and the judges said they chose AFTRS short Kiss for its 'original voice and distinctive storytelling'

The big prize is a trip to the 2012 Venice Film Festival where the Grand Prize Winner will be announced and presented with a $500,000 to create a new work, produced by Ridley Scott, Michael Fassbender and a world class team.
