Podcasting Intensive

Get skills to take your podcast to the next level in this five day workshop focussing on the storytelling and advanced editing skills you’ll need to develop your narrative podcast. Designed for people who have already got some skills in the area, this course will focus on the editorial and producing skills you’ll need ensure your podcast connects with audience. The course is taught by two industry professionals, Martin Peralta and Miles Martignoni who between them have over 20 years experience in the area and have worked across independent, government and commercial media to create successful series that have won Walkley, Webby and SXSW awards as well as the NSW Premier award and Australian Podcasting Awards.

Get tips on how to refine your script and interview techniques for the best results

Acquire practical skills to make sound design an integral part of your podcast: mixing narration, interviews, sound design, music and sound effects to produce an audio rich soundscape.

What you will need

You should have an idea (or ideas) for a podcast already partly developed. As mentioned above you’ll need to have basic audio recording and editing skills. It would be very useful if you had already recorded some interviews before the course, but not essential.

Ideally participants will bring their own laptop with audio editing software of choice installed. We can supply if necessary.
