This two-day course will help you develop an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with writing and creating short-form narrative content, and get you on track to create your own hit web series. Taught by Julie Kalceff, one of the most successful webisode Producer/Writers in Australia, you’ll get an insight into how to develop your own idea into a pitch document for a short form series, how to define and reach an audience and what your funding options might be.
You’ll be required to come with an idea for a short-form narrative web series and you’ll engage with a variety of exercises over the course of the two days, applying the concepts explored to your web series idea.

Short form episodic narrative content has become increasingly prolific over the past five years. While short films were once thought the best and only calling card for emerging filmmakers, more and more practitioners are choosing to tell their stories through narrative web series.
This course is suitable for emerging writers and creative content producers with a passion for storytelling.
What you will need
This is a busy weekend workshop, and you may want to make some “thinking time” space at the end of Day 1. You should come to the course with an idea for a narrative web series.
