Kirsten Downie

Director of Marketing

Kirsten joins AFTRS from the Australian Museum, Sydney, where she was Head of Marketing & Communications. A senior executive with a passion for professional marketing, audience development, branding, sponsorship and communications, Kirsten has held leadership positions in iconic cultural institutions such as the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the Sydney Opera House, and for marketing and creative agencies in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. She has also previously held a senior position at Destination NSW.

Kirsten is responsible for the overall positioning and promotion of AFTRS to students and stakeholders and is developing new opportunities for partnerships.
