Awarding winning Kirsten has a substantial track record in strategic marketing, audience and business development, branding and communications.
A member of the executive team, during her tenure she has expanded the role of director of marketing and in 2019 added the admissions division to her portfolio. The overarching goal is to position AFTRS as one of the leading screen and broadcast schools in the world. The division’s key function areas include: brand and content, recruitment campaigns, social media, website, admissions, distribution and sales of graduate films, the Alumni program, public relations and corporate communications.
Joining the organisation in 2016, Kirsten led the revitalisation of the brand in line with a new five-year strategic vision, developing an award-winning visual identity. She is also the executive sponsor for a new mobile first website and CRM. Kirsten works to continually improve the customer experience and in 2019 added a strategic marketing framework to the admissions and recruitment process.
Prior to AFTRS, Kirsten held senior leadership positions in internationally iconic cultural institutions and for marketing and creative agencies in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. She has led teams in breaking records for the highest attended exhibitions in Australia at two institutions – National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Kirsten’s mantra of creating added value and growth has benefited the creative industries in education, not for profit and government arenas.
