DANIEL MONKS' PULSE WINS AT BUSAN

Congratulations to AFTRS alumnus Daniel Monks (Foundations Diploma, 2009; Graduate Certificate in Directing, 2011) – writer, star and co-producer of Pulse, with director Stevie Cruz-Martin – who has been awarded the BNK Busan Bank award worth $20,000 at Busan International Film Festival in Korea for this groundbreaking film.
Pulse, which screened at the Sydney Film Festival this year, stars Monks, who is himself disabled, as a gay disabled teenager, Olly, who jumps at the chance to avoid the degenerative disease ravaging his body by having his mind transferred into the body of an attractive young woman.
