Invest in the future of Australian stories
Higher education has the power to change lives, but not everyone has equal access to that opportunity. Some students experience barriers, such as financial pressure, caregiving responsibilities, distance and/or disability, that can make study more challenging.
By donating to the AFTRS Scholarship Program, you’re supporting talented emerging storytellers from diverse backgrounds across Australia to pursue their passion, giving them a vital head start in the screen and audio industries.
I want to create work that represents communities like mine, those that experience life as a woman, a carer and an immigrant ... This scholarship is the bridge between wish and reality, it alleviates a significant degree of financial strain and empowers me with the freedom to take risks, and to tell stories.
Angie Geng, Master of Arts Screen student

The Alumni & Industry Scholarship has helped make it possible to start my studies in Australia in such a great school with brilliant people and creatives ... I aspire to explore cinema that can delve into new ways of thinking and platform films that show neurodiverse perspectives and experiences.
