2017 Bachelor of Arts (Screen) graduate Imogen McCluskey has launched a follow-up to Love Bug, an innovative web series about modern love and the pitfalls of dating during a global pandemic.

This next instalment follows the successful release of the first season on the AFTRS Facebook page in April and has been developed by the independent production company, Spaceboy, with principal production investment from Screen Australia.

Filmed in its entirety in just three days, Love Bug Season Two has seen creator/writer/director/producer Imogen McCluskey lead a predominantly female team of creative talent, including producer Yingna Lu (Tangles and Knots), photographer and digital art director, Lou Dietz-Henderson (Bachelor of Arts (Screen), 2017) and editor Aimee Kubo.

A mobile-first digital series filmed during lockdown, Love Bug explores the search for meaning and connection without physical proximity, shedding a humorous and heartfelt light on the romantic tribulations of the modern love triangle: Girl + Boy + screen.

Following a cooked breakup with Boy, Girl is determined to find a rebound and put her life back on track, but after a string of failed job interviews and awkward Zoom dates, Girl and Boy find themselves drawn back together.
