Amin Palangi is an award-winning filmmaker known for intimate portraits of people in extreme circumstances. His documentary, Love Marriage in Kabul, won the Audience Award at Sydney Film Festival, and Best Direction from the Australian Directors Guild. It was released theatrically in Australia and broadcast internationally in over twenty-six countries. Throughout his career, Amin has made several shorts such as Break, and Sheltered, and web series including Screen Australia funded I Luv U But.
Amin’s feature film Tennessine starring Osamah Sami (House of Gods, Shayda) premiered at Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for Best Direction from the Australian Director’s Guild. Tennessine was release in cinemas in April 2024 and is currently available on SBSOnDemand.
