Peter Tonagh appointed to AFTRS Council

The Turnbull Government has appointed Mr Peter Tonagh as a member of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) Council for three years.

Mr Tonagh has extensive experience in broadcasting and media and is currently the non-Executive Chairman of Bus Stop Films Limited, a charitable organisation focussing on inclusion in the film industry.

He was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Foxtel Management Pty Limited from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, Mr Tonagh worked as the CEO and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at News Corp Australia and was COO and Chief Financial Officer at Foxtel.

Mr Tonagh’s extensive background in the film and television sectors will be a valuable asset to the Council. In addition, his management, business and financial skills will assist the Council in its fiscal and strategic goals.
