Students film selected for Revelation Perth International Film Festival 2018

We’re very proud to announce the selection of three student films at this year’s Revelation Perth International Film Festival.

Nobody Hangs out Anymore, written and directed by Lizzie Dingle (Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production, 2017), will have its world premiere at the festival, preceding screenings of Susanna Nicchiarelli’s Nico 88. The film was made by a team of BA Screen: Production students, including assistant director Alexei Toliopoulos, producer Linus Gibson, cinematographer Zac Hardaker, editor Sophie Hattch, and production designer Juliette Beck.

Screening in its Australian premiere is one-minute wonder Little Secret, made by 2017 Graduate Certificate Screen team Sarah Bassiuoni (Directing), Sarah Emery (Screenwriting) Susie Hammill (Creative Producing), Jackson McLennan (Cinematography), Katherine Baker (Editing), with Ra Nagy (Advanced Diploma in Production Sound, 2017). The short will screen before the documentary McKellen: Playing the Part. Little Secret has also been selected for this year’s Warburton Film Festival.

Additionally selected is the 2017 Graduate Certificate Screen short documentary Pat’s Studio, directed by Ashleigh McArthur (Documentary) with editing assistance and sound mixing from Nicole Norelli (Editing), and music composition from Kira McCaig (Music), which will screen before Kasuma’s Infinity.

Revelation Perth International Film Festival runs from 5-18 July. The Warburton Film Festival runs from 15-17 June.
