Alumni Work Recognised at the Australian Screen Editors’ Ellie Awards

James Manche receives his award

The Australian Screen Editor’s Ellie Awards celebrate the very best in local editing talent. At this year’s ceremony, the achievements of some of our most talented alumni were again recognised.

This year’s Best Editing in Drama Prize was awarded to James Manche ASE (Bachelor of Arts – Film & Television Editing, 1986) for his work on Episode five of Stan series, Bloom.

Alumna Julie-Anne De Ruvo’s (Master of Arts – Film & Television Editing, 2001) work on uber-popular series The Letdown earned her the Award for Best Editing in Comedy.

The Best Editing In Open Content Award was given to Kelly Searancke (Graduate Certificate: Editing Drama, 2010) for The Last Fight.

Alumnus Dave Redman (Master of Arts – Film & Television Editing, 1997) received official ASE accreditation on the night.
