AFTRS has teamed up with FBi Radio to bring you Radio Brain, a new educational podcast for aspiring and emerging radio creatives.
Featuring some of local radio’s finest talent – including AFTRS alumni – the series is a helpful resource for radio makers and students, with information and tips on how to make great and engaging radio content.
Episode one is out and features alumna and Triple J producer Liza Harvey (Graduate Diploma in Radio, 2016) speaking to Issy Phillips about producing music radio for Triple J. They talk about the importance of radio in keeping the public informed, how to generate content starting with your audience’s interests, and how to build out a storyline to drive audience engagement.
A new instalment will be released each month, with the coming episode to feature FBi Radio’s Zacha Rosen interviewing alumna Fiona Pepper (Graduate Diploma in Radio, 2014), host of ABC RN’s original podcast Radio National Fictions.
