Developing IP and doing it right – how to work out what you’ve got, who to share it with and how to make the most of your brilliant idea.

Intellectual Property (IP) is created in many forms including audio-visual content. This seminar will examine the life of IP for your business or project including:

  • Creating IP and understanding its components
  • Maximising the use of IP and revenue streams
  • Protection of IP

Understanding the protection of your IP is important. We will discuss an IP strategy, the simple steps you can take to protect your IP and what to do if you are selling your IP. You’ll learn about the value of rights and the market for rights, as well as the most effective off-screen uses of IP.

Stephen and Peter will be joined by guests Damian Rinaldi (Sonic Lawyers), Brendan Dahill (Essential Media), Maz Farrelly (Mazspeaks), Tom Maynard (Amplify) and Richard Henson (Seven Network).

The seminar runs 2pm-5.30pm with a half-hour break, and will be delivered completely online via Zoom Video.

As this Seminar is delivered entirely online via Zoom video you will need to have access to a good internet connection, a computer with a built in camera and microphone and a quiet space to participate. Headphones are recommended. Once you are enrolled we will send out instructions for participation.
