Become a Screen Colourist

Delivered part-time over 12 weeks this is a practical, hands-on course for practitioners wanting to develop the colour grading craft skills to apply grading techniques to achieve an intended look. You’ll gain confidence in using industry standard software DaVinci Resolve and understand the technical requirements and options you can apply to achieve your creative intentions.

Learn about colour theory and how to manipulate colour and light to contribute to your narrative

Gain DaVinci Resolve skills and understand the technical quality of data and the grading workflow

Understand the relationship between on set shooting and the post production process and how to interpret a creative brief

You’ll need a good level of understanding of non-linear editing and post-production workflows to benefit from this course. This is an almost 100% computer-based course and you’ll be taught on a Mac, so you’ll need to be comfortable in that environment.

This course is delivered over 12 weeks as follows:

  • Two evenings per week: 6pm – 9pm
    Three Saturdays: 9am – 5pm

25% due by the end of week 4 of the course
