Become a Screen Colourist

Delivered part-time over 12 weeks this is a practical, hands-on course for practitioners wanting to develop colour grading craft skills to apply grading techniques to achieve an intended look. You’ll gain confidence in using industry standard software DaVinci Resolve and understand the technical requirements and options you can apply to achieve your creative intensions.

Learn about colour theory, and how to manipulate colour and light to contribute to your narrative

Gain skills in using DaVinci Resolve and understand the technical quality of data and the grading workflow

Understand the relationship between on set shooting and the post production process and how to Interpret a creative brief

Is the Industry Certificate: Colour Grading (Resolve) right for you?

You’ll need a good level of understanding of non-linear editing and post-production workflows to benefit from this course. This is an almost 100% computer-based course and you’ll be taught on a Mac, so you’ll need to be comfortable in that environment.

This course is delivered over 12 weeks as follows:

  • Two evenings per week: 6pm – 9pm
    Three Saturdays: 9am – 5pm

This course is eligible for a payment plan

  • 25% to confirm enrolment in the course
  • 25% due 14 days from beginning of course
  • 25% due by the end of week 3 of the course
  • 25% due by the end of week 6 of the course
  • If you enrol 14 – 1 day before course commencement, 50% payment will be required to confirm enrolment.
