Become a Premiere Pro Editor
This is a two-day introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro is the timeline-based video editing software application that comes bundled in the Adobe Creative Suite master collection, production premium and Creative Cloud. The course is delivered on Premiere Pro Creative Cloud (CC).
Basic editing skills
Learn how to capture HD video footage, basic editing and add audio, effects, transitions and text
Export and import
Export to a number of formats including web and import projects from other editing systems
Work with other Adobe applications
Work with other Adobe applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, Encore and After Effects
Is Premiere Pro Fundamentals right for you?
Adobe Premiere Pro is becoming increasingly widely used, and offers a cost effective alternative to more high-end broadcast editing options. It is being used increasingly in schools, DIY editing, corporate and production environments, and as an alternative to Final Cut Pro for timeline-based video editing. This two day intensive course is an introduction to the basics of using Premiere Pro and is designed for absolute beginners.
What you will need
This course is for students aged 18+ only and is taught in a Mac lab, so it’s helpful to be comfortable in the Mac environment.
It’s a good idea to have a copy of the software so you can practise straight after the course. There is a free trial version available.
Completing Premiere Pro Fundamentals will contribute 12 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.1.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
