Become a Production Accountant

This online workshop introduces the specialised skills of film and television production accounting to those with little accounting experience. You will explore the tasks and requirements of a production accountant during pre-production, shoot and post-production. This course is taught by experts from Moneypenny Accounting, with industry guests.


Pre-production: this includes an outline of the scope of the job as well as the profile of a good production accountant


Production: an overview of processing accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, purchase orders along with working relationships


Post production: an outline of tasks and requirements for post-production such as reconciliations, balance sheet finalisation, handovers, audit and more

Is Production Accounting Fundamentals right for you?

This course is designed to give an overview of the role of a production accountant and managing a production budget from budget lock-off through to project completion. It is not a production budgeting course.

This course is only open to students aged 18 +.

This course is delivered 100% online over Zoom.

You will need to have access to a good internet connection, a computer with a built-in camera and microphone as well as a quiet space to participate. Headphones are recommended.
