Christine Kirkwood

Alumni Program Manager

Christine Kirkwood is a creative connector and storyteller with a career that’s woven through the heart of AFTRS for over 20 years. From her early days in Marketing and Radio to graduating with a Graduate Certificate in Screen Music in 2014, Christine’s journey has been anything but static.

As Alumni Program Manager, Christine has reimagined what it means to stay connected. She’s built a thriving global alumni network, curated unforgettable events, and helped thousands of graduates amplify their voices—both online and off. Her leadership was instrumental in the AFTRS 50th Anniversary celebrations, where she brought history to life through a year-long series of national and international activations.

Beyond AFTRS, Christine’s creative fingerprints can be found across projects and events for ABC Radio, Create NSW, Foxtel, Legs on The Wall, and more. She’s worked on large scale events including the Commonwealth Games, the ARIA Awards, Disney musicals and the Sydney Film Festival, and has curated intimate projects such as live original music series For Folk Sake.

A composer, session singer, and voice artist, Christine’s eclectic visual and sonic work has featured on ABC (TV/Radio/ Online) and SBS Radio, and she’s trained hundreds of professionals in voice, communication, and presentation with her own bespoke program.

In 2021, Christine proudly re-launched the AFTRS Alumni Program, reigniting a vibrant community and spotlighting the brilliance of Australian screen talent. Recent milestones include the launch of the Alumni Advisory Group and the Alumni & Industry Scholarship Fund—initiatives that will continue to inspire and shape the future of Australia’s next generation of storytellers.
