Christine Kirkwood

Alumni Program Manager

Christine has a nearly 20 year history with AFTRS. Prior to graduating in 2014 with a Graduate Certificate in Screen Music, she worked at the school in various areas. Christine spent three years running the AFTRS Alumni Network where she ran local and international events, oversaw alumni communications, formed lasting relationships with thousands of graduates, launched alumni into the world of social media, and sewed the seeds for her current role.

Christine’s work history outside AFTRS includes overseeing projects for ABC, Foxtel, Legs on The Wall, First Cut Studio, Janet Hine Design, and many other creative institutions. Events Christine has worked on include the Commonwealth Games, the ARIA Awards, Sydney Fringe Festival, Disney musicals, Sydney Film Festival and more.

As well as writing and composing music for film and television, and her own projects which are accompanied by eclectic visual content, she performs around the country and champions the music of others, by running monthly live music night ‘For Folk Sake’ in Sydney. As a session singer and voice artist, she regularly provides voiceovers for ABC and SBS Radio and has trained hundreds of professionals in voice, communication and presentation.

Christine is thrilled to return to AFTRS to reignite the AFTRS Alumni Program, strengthen relationships and showcase our incredible Australian talent to the world.
