Dr Miro Bilbrough is a filmmaker, media educator and script editor with three decades experience. Her research interests include the intervention of poetic strategies in cine-narrative and the embodiment of psychological time.
Her short and feature films are shaped by her practice as a poet, and by her aliveness to the power of sensate cinematic worlds and the actor-director collaboration. Her films have screened in festivals and have been broadcast and awarded locally and internationally.
Her memoir In the Time of the Manaroans was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. She holds a DCA from Western Sydney University.
