Justine Angus

MA Discipline Lead, Sound

Justine Angus is a highly experienced and accomplished sound professional. Having trained as a music engineer, her passion for all things sound led her to the TV and film industry, where she has contributed to over 100 credits in feature films, documentaries and TV series.

Her various roles as a sound recordist, music editor, foley & FX editor, and latterly, as a dialogue & ADR editor & supervisor, have garnered her many accolades, with multiple award nominations and wins for her work on projects such as Hacksaw Ridge, The Rover, Batman BeginsBacktrack and Deadline Gallipoli. Most recently she has worked on the celebrated horror film Bring Her Back, and the much lauded Better Man.

In addition to her creative endeavours, she has been a guest lecturer at AFTRS and Macquarie University, and actively mentors young and emerging filmmakers. She regularly participates in industry panels and award adjudication. She is an accredited member of the ASSG (Australian Screen Sound Guild) and the MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors), and has previously been an executive committee member of the ASSG.
