Dr Melanie Robson is a Lecturer in Screen Studies at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), where she has been teaching since 2018.
She has a PhD from UNSW Sydney exploring the long take in modernist European cinema. She has published widely, predominantly on European film and American horror film and television. This includes a co-edited a collection on Alfred Hitchcock (One Shot Hitchcock, Oxford University Press, 2024).
She has also worked as editor and assistant editor on several short films.
