Peter Andrikidis is one of Australia’s most prolific directors starting with ABC’s drama series Wildside and comedy series Grass Roots (all 18 eps).

Most notably, Peter directed all 3 seasons (20eps) of East West 101, the first season of ground-breaking series Underbelly, highly-acclaimed mini-series Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms, Killing Time and Catching Milat, as well as being the set-up director on many series including The Straits, Pulse, Hyde and Seek, Serangoon Road, Janet King and Fat Tony & Co.

Peter has a reputation for producing exceptional performances from his cast: working with actors such as Richard Roxburgh (Bali 2002), Rachel Griffiths (Bali 2002), Claudia Jessie (Bali 2022), Sri Ayu Jati Kartika (Bali 2022), David Wenham (Killing Time), Simon Baker (GP), Alex O’Loughlin (Mary Bryant), Joan Chen (Serangoon Road), Colin Friels (Black Jack), Dougray Scott (False Witness), Romola Garai (Mary Byrant), Sam Neill (Jessica), Marton Csokas (GP), Aaron Pederson (Wildside) Brian Cox (The Straits), Don Hany (East West 101) Susie Porter (Pulse) and Marta Dusseldorp (Janet King).

Peter’s work spans telemovies My Husband, My Killer, Heroes’ Mountain, Blood Brothers, The Informant, Chopper: The Untold Story and feature films Alex and Eve and Kings of Mykonos.

His international credits include Reef Break for the ABC Network (USA), Serangoon Road for HBO/ABC, False Witness for UK-TV, The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant for ITV UK, Reckoning for Sony Pictures US and The New Legends of Monkey S2 for NETFLIX. He recently directed STAN’s mini-series Eden and STAN’s Event mini-series BALI 2002 (which just premiered with rave reviews).

In 2003 Peter was awarded a Centenary Medal for ‘Outstanding Services to Australian Society and Film Production’. In 2006 he was included in Encore Magazine’s Celebration of the Industry’s Top Ten Directors, alongside Baz Luhrmann, Gillian Armstrong, Phillip Noyce and Rolf De Heer. He is a multi-award winning director / producer with numerous AFI (AACTA) Awards, Logies, ADG Awards, New York Festival Awards and Chicago International Film Awards. Peter was the first recipient of the Lifetime Award for Excellence in Drama Direction from the ADG.

Peter’s latest mini series The Claremont Murders was the highest rating drama for the Seven Network.
