The 50th Anniversary Screening program is a celebration of feature films that have been made by AFTRS alumni. In the last 50 years, the school has produced many talented filmmakers that have been at the forefront of cinema culture, producing work that has moved, challenged and thrilled audiences around the world.
Each film in this series was directed by an AFTRS Alumni, and almost all of them feature alumni in key creative roles including producers, cinematographers, editors, and production and costume designers.
In partnership with the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA), the films in this free program will be presented entirely on 35mm prints borrowed from their collection, treating audiences to a rich and unique cinematic experience.

The next screening in the series will be Dead Calm (1989) directed by Phillip Noyce.
