Cameron Simpson

Cameron Simpson is a multi-award-winning digital artist with deep technical knowledge, who has been recognised internationally for his unique artistic abilities. He studied Fine Arts at UNSW’s COFA where he discovered his passion for generative and responsive artistic practices. When he returned for his honours year he focused on researching and creating interactive systems that used algorithmic feedback from sensor inputs to create unique visual and audio experiences that altered and changed based on the ways the audience viewed and responded to the work. His honours paper Cybernetic Extrapolation of Artistic Process explored the relationship of artistic practice to technological advancement.

In his career Cameron has built extensive professional experience across a wide field of creative industries spanning two decades with organisations such as Telstra Digital Media, Pacific Brands and RevTech Media, overseeing all graphic & motion design, video production & editing in senior roles, working with a range of local and international brands like Origin Energy, HCF, Budget Direct, Insure and Go, Zurich Insurance and Vodafone.

With a passion for visual storytelling, Cameron has also worked as a cinematographer for the feature film Half Your Tears, VFX supervisor on the ABC series Sarah’s Channel, and more recently leveraging his knowledge of AI.
