Rowena Crowe

Rowena Crowe is versatile editor and animator who is highly experienced in turning hours of footage into concise stories.

Rowena holds a Masters of Arts in Documentary Editing from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and a Masters in Animation from Animation St Joost (Netherlands). She is passionate about both long and short form filmmaking and storytelling. Features she has edited have screened on broadcast television and played in competition at international film festivals such as Teach A Man to Fish (2018, NITV) during the Sydney Film Festival and Memoirs of a Plague (2011, Nat Geo) at the Amsterdam International Film Festival.

Rowena’s short 2D hand drawn and collage animations Letter Tapeand If We Were together have screened internationally with Letter Tape winning best animation at WIFT. She has extensive offline and online post-production experience that includes but is not limited to Adobe products such as Photoshop and After Effects.

Online clients Rowena has animated for include Radio National and The Guardian. Rowena has been a guest tutor at the European Film College in Denmark and can be found regularly in the corridors of AFTRS as an edit tutor.
