Analyse, strategise, pitch and produce

This course focuses on the skills and knowledge required to respond to a brief and produce engaging content and campaigns. You’ll learn how to analyse a brief, devise a creative and production strategy response, and then pitch your ideas to maximum effect. You will develop your storytelling and idea generation skills and create fast turn-around video content targeting a variety of audiences across multiple platforms.

Delivered 100% online, you will engage in practical, collaborative online lectures to learn how to create campaign-style strategies and content for social media and professional corporate communications.

You will be expected to create content regularly as exercises throughout the course and will be supported with guidance on shooting and editing content using a mobile device. At the end of the course, you will be challenged to define, create, and execute an engaging portfolio of campaign assets in response to a pre-determined brief.

Gain an understanding of the process and skills required to successfully create a content campaign.

Practice responding to a brief including ideation, writing the treatment, creating a great pitch deck, and pitching.

Develop your practical mobile content creation skills across a range of social media platforms.

Is the Industry Certificate: Content Strategy & Creation right for you?

The Content Creation Industry Certificate is ideal for:

  • creative/media/PR agency producers, and accounts/project managers who want to improve their practical understanding of why and how to create content.
  • communications staff in corporate or government organisations who create or manage internal/external productions and want to improve their knowledge and skills.
  • freelancers who want to expand their skill set and get more work.

No previous experience with camera or editing is necessary for this course, but you will need to provide your own mobile device to complete the exercises. You’ll also need to make time to shoot and complete your portfolio videos.

We have a shorter, 100% online Mobile Content Creation course that will give you insights into making video with your mobile device.

Our five-day Videomaking Intensive covers shooting and editing video but does not have the briefing, strategy and creative development elements of this course.
