Andy began his working life working on features, The Last Wave and Money Movers with the South Australian Film Corporation. He then diverted to a career in radio and television journalism, which evolved into Press Secretary for Shadow Ministers in the Senate.
For the past 25 years he has been a professional fundraiser and charity growth specialist and holds the global fundraising accreditation CFRE. Andy was President of the NSW Chapter of Fundraising Institute Australia, progressing to Deputy Chair and then Chair of FIA. After leading the development of the Fundraising Code of Ethics and the Standards of Fundraising Practice he was awarded Fellowship of FIA.
Highlights of his Not-for-Profit career include Head of Fundraising at Sydney University, Director of Development at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Head of Foundation at the Australian National Maritime Museum and General Manager of The Apex Foundation.
