Lisa Magnus is the Student Admissions Lead at AFTRS, where she plays a central role in guiding prospective students through the admissions journey.
Lisa’s career began in the arts and media sector working in the fashion departments of several magazines, she then moved into the fashion PR industry. With over a decade of experience in tertiary admissions and the creative industries, including leadership roles at the Australian Institute of Music and freelance producing work with ABC Radio National, Lisa brings both strategic expertise and a genuine understanding of the artistic mindset.
Lisa has trained and worked as an actor and she holds an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts from the Actors Centre Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney. Her background as an actor and producer informs her ability to connect authentically with creative individuals and provides a unique perspective in supporting emerging creatives as they take their next professional step.
