We are excited to congratulate AFTRS’ Class of 2024, who celebrated the completion of their studies at the School’s official Graduation Ceremony on Friday 23 May.
The ceremony took place at the Sir John Clancy Auditorium at UNSW, where AFTRS staff, family and friends proudly acknowledged the accomplishments of 163 graduating students from the Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production, Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting, Master of Arts Screen, and Master of Arts Screen: Business.
Graduation emcee, BA Discipline Lead (Screenwriting) Jenevieve Chang, introduced inspiring speakers, including AFTRS Deputy Chair of Council and Netflix Production Policy Director Debra Richards and Andrew Myer AM. AFTRS Alum and NITV Head of Indigenous Commissioning and Production Dena Curtis delivered the Alumni Commencement Address, followed by AFTRS graduate and 2GF Radio Breakfast Announcer Misty Fisher, as graduate speaker.
We look forward to seeing what this talented group will achieve as they embark on their screen and audio careers and help shape and impact the future as the next generation of Australian storytellers.
