Is AFTRS Advanced: Directing Episodic right for you?

This advanced directing course is aimed at early-to-mid career practitioners with prior knowledge and practical directing experience. It is ideal for those who have directed short films, TVCs or independent features and are interested in broadening their skillset and work options to include episodic directing. We will not be covering the specifics of being a Setup Director in this course.

It is expected that students entering this course can analyse the director’s toolkit, including approach to the script, communication with actors, and collaboration with the creative team; demonstrate the skills to effectively communicate your directorial vision; and demonstrate practical and creative skills in scene blocking, leading rehearsals and auditions as covered in our Directing Intensive and The Director’s Journey Bootcamp courses.
