Is the Assistant Editor (Unscripted) Intensive right for you?
Some prior experience with Avid Media Composer or other editing software is strongly recommended. This course is designed for students who are keen to understand the role of an assistant editor, using Avid Media Composer, and is suited to those with a technical curiosity.
Students who have already attended Editing with Avid Fundamentals (or a previous Avid MC101 course), will be greatly advantaged as the role – and this course – requires a solid understanding of the principles of Avid Media Composer.
If your goal is to work in post production, this course will give you all the essential skills to enter as an Assistant Editor in today’s fast-paced, and largely freelance, production environment. You’ll learn all the technical skills you’ll need to fulfil this vital role, as well as gain some insight into seeking work as a freelancer.
