Anne Brooksbank

Anne Brooksbank is a screenwriter with six AWGIES and an AFI Award to her credit. She was one of the writers for the landmark Australian film Newsfront. She has written episodes for a number of TV series, including G.P.WildsideBlue Heelers, Water Rats and Hallifax fp. She is the author of eight books, one shortlisted in 2012 for the Prime Minister’s Literary Award. In 2017, she was nominated for an AACTA award for Best Adapted screenplay for Don’t Tell. Her play, All My Love, about the lifelong love of Henry Lawson and Mary Gilmore, toured Australia with good houses and reviews from July 2015 to March 2016. Another tour is planned for 2017-18. Her feature film adaptation, Heatstroke, from an American book, was shot in South Africa in 2013 and has sold to a number of countries.
