Prof. Christine Burton

Academic Board Deputy Chair

Christine Burton was Associate Professor and Associate Dean Education at UTS Business School, a role she held for 9 years. During this time, she oversaw a number of course reviews, introduced several new courses, supported and initiated innovative learning and teaching practices, and was part of the team which gained the prestigious international accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Her research focused on stakeholder theory in relation to museums and, with other research colleagues, secured an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant for investigations into museum attendance and preferences using choice modelling.

Christine is currently the Chair of the Academic Board of a private Higher Education provider, the International Graduate Institute, and a member of the Governing Board. She served on the Academic Board of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Institute which acquired Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) accreditation in 2023.

Christine served as a TEQSA Expert Adviser from 2013-19. She has also served as a panellist reviewer of the MBA at Macquarie University and courses at the Victorian College of the Arts.
