Jodie Dowd

First Nations Community Engagement Manager

Jodie Dowd (she/her) is a Noongar (Menang, Gitja, Wangai) curator, basket weaver and writer who grew up on Gunai/Kurnai Country, VIC. Jodie has spent the past 15 years working with First Nations community members to care for their cultural belongings and ensure that their knowledges and truths are recorded in museums and archives. Most recently Jodie worked with Stolen Generations Survivors to access their personal records in archives and record Survivor truths as a Right to Reply. Jodie joined the Australian Film Television and Radio School in January 2024 as the First Nations Community Engagement Manager and is excited about working with and supporting the next generation of First Nations truth and story tellers.
