Marie Patane

Marie Patane started her TV career as a journalist for the Nine Network in Brisbane on local current affairs program Brisbane Extra and National Nine News before moving to the Today Show to become its Queensland correspondent. Marie has always written and produced her own stories and it was there that her passion for story telling began. In 1999, Marie moved to Sydney to host Entertainment Tonight with Richard Wilkins and continued to appear as a regular on the Today Show. She has also worked on a number of other projects for Channel Nine including co-hosting the 2000 Logies Broadcast and presenting Cleo Bachelor of the Year, Lights Camera Action and the Our House Renovation Specials. Marie also hosted a renovations series called Dream Home before leaving full time employment with the Nine Network to pursue other interests, including Producing and Directing several award-winning short films and developing her first feature film.

Marie is currently the “face” of Qantas and has presented for Qantas in-flight entertainment for over 10 years. She has written and produced her own short holiday documentaries which are regularly screened on Domestic and International Qantas flights.
