Sarah Stollman

Sarah Stollman, production designer and educationalist, is currently completing her PhD (Media, Culture and Creative Arts) at Curtin University, entitled “Magic, Realism and the Cinematic Object.” She has held the positions of Head of Screen Design and Convenor Masters Programs at The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and has lectured on production design, cinematic magical realism and the origination of screen stories at AFTRS and at the Sydney Film School (SFS). As a production designer, Sarah has had the opportunity to work in the U.S. and Australia with directors including Todd Haynes, Hal Hartley, David O. Russell, Kelly Reichardt, John Waters, Rachel Perkins, John Hughes, Jackie Chan, Khoa Do and Cherie Nowlan. Sarah has served as secretary on the Executive Board of The Australian Screen Production Education & Research Association (ASPERA).
