Simon Gray works in the Technical Equipment Store: the ‘equipment library’ of AFTRS. As a Technical Store Officer, he is responsible for a wide variety of camera, lighting and sound kits, the booking system, and technical troubleshooting. He enjoys getting to know and seeing the progress of students throughout their time at AFTRS and creating new, efficient processes that meet the requirements and expectations of staff and students alike.
An award-winning AFTRS Masters Cinematography Graduate, Simon continues to be a frequent contributor of articles on large-scale productions to trade magazine American Cinematographer, holds a First Class Honours Degree in European and Russian Studies and is studying to be a positive dog trainer. His dogs are often available for a ‘meet-and-greet’ on Saturday mornings.
